Ormond Beach Riverfest at Rockefeller Gardens

The Riverfest at Rockefeller Gardens and Fortunato Park is being held Saturday and Sunday, November 21 and 22, 2009 in Ormond Beach. There will be live entertainment, food and drink vendors, kayak racing, a children’s art show and The Pilgrim’s Family Fun Run. The run begins Saturday November 21, at 8:00 am.

Not a first time home buyer? Not a problem! There is a brand new tax credit especially for you. It is called the Move Up/Repeat home buyer tax credit. This credit has been established by the Worker, Homeownership, and Business Assistance Act. If you have lived in a home for five consecutive years over the past eight, you may qualify for the credit. This credit is for 10% of the home's value up to $6,500. The income limit is $125,000 for single taxpayers and $225,000 for married tax payers. You do not have to purchase a home that is more expensive than the one you previously owned. The deadline to close on a home is June 1, 2010.

Update: First Time Home Buyer Tax Credit has been extended!

The $8,000 first time home buyers tax credit has been extended until April 30, 2010! Great news for everyone. The home needs to be under a binding contract by April 30, 2010 and be closed by June 30, 2010 in order to qualify. This extended credit allows anyone who has not owned a home in the past three years to be eligible for 10% of the purchase price up to $8,000. The income limit has also increased to $125,000 for single taxpayers and $225,000 for married tax payers. More great news!
